Thank you for the excellent entry of 129 Dogs – and for a very interesting day. I found the bitches more uniform in type than the dogs, where it was harder to find the proportions I wanted allied to good movement and the clean reaching stride I look for. For my taste somewhat over-coated which takes form the lines and functional look. Any thanks to my stewards Jane Palmer and Richard Felton and special thanks to Steve Appleby who repaired by spectacles!
Best in Show and Best Puppy was NELLBROOK IMAGINATION who has star quality. Reserve Best in Show was the brown bitch MERRYTHORPE MISS SUNSHINE. Best Opposite Sex KILFINAN COUNTRY KNIGHT. Best Veteran the bitch NAVILLUS SPIRIT GUIDE.

Minor Puppy Dog (1)
1. Cornford's Aratika Silver by Nature
7 months excellent proportions and very good movement with long clean stride. Strong skull and foreface. Eye pigment could be slightly stronger but he is full of promise and pressed hard for BPD.

Image: Thornsky Moondance

Puppy Dog 6(3ab)
1. Kochanowski's Thornsky Moondance
9 months beautifully constructed and with excellent proportions and coat texture. Best head of the class with good skull and foreface proportions. Can tighten a little in movement but excellent quality. Best Puppy Dog.
2. Swaby's Sengalas Raphael
The winner scored in chest on the day and has a little more width to skull but should finish well.
3. Molloy's Nellbrook Deja Vu at Pyesbridge

Image: samara Over the Moon

Junior Dog 5
1. Collins' Sammara Over the Moon
13 months a little long for balance but the best movement in the class. Very good head and eye and good coat texture coming. Very good angles and chest. Excellent stride which took him to Reserve Best Dog
2. Marshall's Kilfinan Country Breeze
16 months of good size and body proportions but a little straight in shoulder which makes him a little short in neck. Not the forechest of winner. Good coat texture. Carries himself well.
3. Wilmott's Carbonnie Blue Buttons for Carbow
4. Jeffries' Pipadene Union Jack
5. Betts' Pipadene Undercover Agent

Image: Kilfinan Country Knight Best Dog

Yearling Dog 9(3)

16 months beautiful quality stood out here, excellent construction and excellent movement. Correct coat texture. Carried himself well. He could be just a little longer for perfect balance but full of quality. Best Dog.
2. Bowden's Subessen Echoes of Power
workmanlike and full of breed type and scored in proportion over 3. Not quite the shoulder or front reach of winner but carried himself well with typical head carriage.
3. Petersen's Subessen Echoes of Peace
4. Soar & Lewis' Potterdale Picture Star
5. Jeffries' Pipadene Union Jack

3. Petersen's Subessen Echoes of Peace

Image: Karmeliann Stargazer

Post Graduate Dog 7(4)
1. Cater's Karmeliann Stargazer
2 ½ years blue, I would prefer a little more leg to improve his balance but scored decisively on the move. Very good ribcage and shoulder and correct leanness through the body which is where he scored over 2. Tail carriage a touch high but I likes his stride and head carriage.
2. Dumbrell's Mojo Majical Mystry for Bethlyntee
2 years lovely proportions on which he scored but I found him just a little heavy in body and wide in front on the day. Good skull, could have a little more stop. Couldn’t match the stride of the winner.
3. Phillip's Breaksea Cinemascope

Image: Nellbrook Unexpected for Pyesbridge

Limit Dog 6(2)
1. Molloy's Nellbrook Unexpected for Pyesbridge
almost 4 years scored on his movement to win this class. Quality dog with good skull and strong foreface. Good proportions and tail carriage. Tail set could be better. Excellent coat texture.
2. Cooper's Talraz White Feathers
4 years looked my winner standing for proportions and scored slightly in eye. Excellent proportions and carriage. Front movement was uncoordinated and he didn’t stride out like the winner.
3. Mangnall & Burfitt's Breaksea GI Blues
4. Gilbert's Thingamebob My Guy

Open Dog 4 (1)
1. Pickup's Pipadene Time to Recap
5 years a little long for balance but scored in movement and carriage on the move. Good skull and eye. Good coat.
2. Sewell Pain & Garcia's FR Ch Victory Wind's Duncan McLeod
3 years winner standing – has the proportions and outline I look for. Quality head and eye. Croup a little flat and this showed on the move in his tail carriage which rather detracted from his outline.
3. Phillips' Breaksea Cinemascope

Minor Puppy Bitch 2(1)
1. Hollis' Greenybabes Priness Evie
8 months brown. Of good proportions. Feminine head of good proportions. Moved with a good stride. Needs a little more body which shows in topline but has great promise.

Image: Nellbrook Imagination Bearded Collie

Puppy Bitch 9(3) Excellent class for depth of quality
1. Edwards' Nellbrook Imagination
10 months, took my eye immediately both standing and in her following movement, beautiful puppy all through and did not disappoint on the move with her long stride and good carriage. I liked her enormously. Best Bitch and scored in proportions and forehand to take Best in Show.
2. Stead & May's Sengalas Breaking Dawn for Clovabrae
9 months another lovely bitch of excellent proportion. Moved very well. The winner a little more finished in chest and I preferred the winner’s head proportions at the moment but full of quality and breed type
3. Weightman's Debbeacol Harmony in Motion
4. Horne's Thornsky Foxtrot to Mintaria
5. Buckley's Holtend Nightflyer

Junior Bitch Another good class
