Dogs - Peter Fox (Bushbades)

I thoroughly enjoyed my day with a nice big ring, excellent stewards and lovely Beardies. I was pleased to find the construction and movement I look for in my winners, with some very close classes and several dogs I would have graded excellent abroad were cardless. There were however, a lot of dogs without correct rib shape, and short rib length in proportion to the overall length was all too common. My Co-judge, Mrs Rosie Hayward, and I agreed on all our major winners.

Bitches - Mrs Rosie Haywood (Binbusy)

Thank you to the Show Committee for organising such a lovely Show and for your hospitality. We were blessed with the weather and I would like to thank the exhibitors for providing me with such a super entry of quality bitches that made my day so enjoyable. Thanks also to my stewards, Alan Archer and Jackie James who ensured proceedings in the ring ran smoothly.

It was so good to see the depth of quality within the Bitches being shown today and I was very pleased with my final line-up. I joined my co-judge Peter Fox to judge BIS and I was impressed with the dogs presented. Both CC winners were from the same kennel and both were beautifully presented oozing type and quality. They moved with outstanding pace and drive and Best in Show was awarded to the Dog, Lewis’s Ch. Potterdale Pisces, a remarkable slate dog who just had the edge on forward reach.

Best Puppy in Show was also a close call with two top quality puppies gracing the ring. The award went to the Bitch Puppy May’s Sengalas Indian Image who just pipped the dog on the move.
